pleasure

Examples

ra-bó-tat' s neem - ad-nó u-da-vól'st-vee-ye

Working with him is a pleasure.

расша́рить [ras-shá-reet'] Verb, perfective. Imperfective - расша́ривать

to share (computer slang)

Examples

Как расшарить па́пку по лока́льной се́ти?

kak ras-shá-reet' páp-ku pa la-kál'-naî see-tée

How to share a folder in a local network?
Я залью́ фо́тки на о́блако и расшарю с тобо́й до́ступ.

гла́дить [glá-deet'] Verb, imperfective. Perfective - погла́дить

to pat, to caress; to iron

Examples

Не гладь кота́ про́тив ше́рсти, он э́того не лю́бит.

nye glad' ka-tá pró-teef shérs-tee, on é-ta-va nye lyú-beet

Do not rub the cat the wrong way (against the direction of the fur), he does not like it.
Чья о́чередь гла́дить бельё?

ch'-ya ó-chee-ryed' glá-deet' beel'-yó

Whose turn to iron clothes?

ска́чивать [ská-chee-vat'] Verb, imperfective. Perfective - скача́ть

to download (colloquial)

Examples

Э́та програ́мма позволя́ет ска́чивать ви́део с Ютуба.

é-ta prag-rá-ma paz-va-lyá-eet ská-chee-vat' vée-dee-o s yu-tú-ba

This software allows you to download videos from Youtube.
Все уче́бники она́ ска́чивала с торрента.

fsye u-chyéb-nee-kee a-ná ská-chee-va-la s tór-ren-ta

She used to download all the textbooks from the torrent.

молча́ть [mal-chat'] Verb, imperfective. Perfective - замолча́ть

to be / to keep / to remain silent

Examples

Ну что ты молчи́шь?

nu chto ty mal-chéesh

Why are you silent?
Он молча́л всю доро́гу.

on mal-chál fsyu da-ró-gu

He was silent all the way.

зави́довать [za-vée-da-vat'] Verb, imperfective. Perfective - позави́довать

to envy, to be envious / jealous

Examples

Не обраща́й внима́ния, они́ про́сто тебе́ зави́дуют!

nye ab-ra-scháî vnee-má-nee-ya, a-née prós-ta tee-byé za-vée-du-yut

Do not pay attention, they just envy you!
Она́ всегда́ мне зави́довала.

a-ná vseeg-dá mnye za-vée-da-va-la

She always envied me.

по умолча́нию [pa u-mal-chá-nee-yu] Phrase

Е́сли что́-то пошло́ не так, вы мо́жете восстанови́ть настро́йки по умолча́нию.

porridge, gruel, (cooked) cereal; (figurative) mess, jumble
