сомнева́ться [sam-nee-vá-tsa] Verb, imperfective. Perfective - засомнева́ться

to doubt

Examples

  • Спроси́ меня́, е́сли ты в чём-то сомнева́ешься.

    spra-sée mee-nyá, yes-lee ty f chóm-ta sam-nee-vá-eesh-sya

    Ask me if you have any doubts about something.

  • Мо́жете не сомнева́ться, всё бу́дет по пла́ну.

    mó-zhee-tye nye sam-nee-vá-tsa, fsyo bú-deet pa plá-nu

    You may be sure, everything will be according to plan.

копа́ться [ka-pá-tsa] Verb, imperfective. Perfective - прокопа́ться

to dig; to probe; to dawdle

Examples

  • Ну что ты там копа́ешься?

    nu chto ty tam ka-pá-eesh-sya

    Why are you so long? (Over what are you dawdling there?)

  • Де́ти копа́лись в песке́.

    dyé-tee ka-pá-lees' f pees-kyé

    Children were playing in the sand.

па́хнуть [páh-nut'] Verb, imperfective. Perfective - запа́хнуть, пропа́хнуть

  • Чем э́то так стра́нно па́хнет?

    chem éta tak strán-na páh-nyet

    What is this strange smell?

  • В помеще́нии па́хло пы́лью.

    v pa-mee-schyé-nee-ee páh-la pýl'- yu

    The room smelled of dust.
