Hello, what is the difference between Как ни крути́ and всё равно́? Both are translated as anyway. Thanks.
Learn Russian Words says:
Hi Anita,
There is not much difference between them in the sense “anyway”.
“Как ни крути” is an idiom. You can translate it as “whichever way you put it”.
“Всё равно” is a bit more broad. Literally, it means “everything is equal”. This allows you to use it also in a sense “I don’t care, everything is the same for me.”
– Мне всё равно, делайте что хотите.
“Всё равно” is very widely used, “как ни крути” is used much less often.
