Hello, in the second example, I note that ‘свои́ми хоро́шими мане́рами’ does not need the preposition c. But sometimes c is used. Could you explain when the preposition is used? Thanks.

The Instrumental case often does not require preposition. It all depends on the verb. You can learn more about it here.

Thank you for the link. I understand the usage of c in examples like с детьми́ and Мы с тобо́й. But how about the c in the last example of the lesson – Я с удово́льствием помогу́ вам? Why is c used here?

If you say “я помогу вам удовольствием” (we don’t say that but just to illustrate), it would mean that I will use удовольствие to help you. Удовольствие here would be an instrument of an action. You can use помогу without с when you indeed mention an instrument:
– я помогу вам деньгами
I will help you with money
– я помогу вам советом
I will help you with advice
If you say “я помогу вам с удовольствием”, it means “I will help you and I it will be my pleasure”.
