похо́д [pa-hót] Verb, masculine

excursion, hike, trip, camping; visit, outing

Examples

В э́ти выходны́е мы идём в похо́д на о́зеро.

This weekend we go camping to the lake.
Ка́ждый похо́д в э́тот рестора́н влета́ет нам в копе́ечку.

горди́ться [gar-dée-tsa] Verb, imperfective

to be proud; to take pride

Examples

Твой оте́ц тобо́й бы о́чень горди́лся.

tvoî a-tsyéts ta-bóî by ó-cheen' gar-déel-sya

Your father would be very proud of you.
Ему́ бы́ло чем горди́ться.

ye-mú bý-la chyem gar-dée-tsa

He had something to be proud of.

све́жий [svyé-zheeî] Adjective

fresh

Examples

Пиро́жные бы́ли све́жие, пы́шные и сто́или всего́ ничего́.

pee-rózh-ny-ye bý-lee svyé-zhee-ye, pýsh-ny-ye ee stó-ee-lee fsee-vó nee-chee-vó

The cakes were fresh, fluffy and cost almost nothing.
Поча́ще гуля́йте на све́жем во́здухе.

pa-chá-schye gu-lyáî-tye na svyé-zhem vóz-du-hye

Walk in the fresh air more often.

опа́сный [a-pás-nyî] Adjective

dangerous, hazardous, unsafe

Examples

Собы́тия приобрели́ оборо́т бо́лее опа́сный, чем мы предполага́ли.

sa-bý-tee-ya pree-ab-ree-lée a-ba-rót bó-lye-ye a-pás-nyî, chyem my preet-pa-la-gá-lee

Events took on a more dangerous turn than we expected.

You started a dangerous game.

дове́рчивый [da-vyér-chee-vyî] Adjective

confiding, trusting, trustful, unsuspecting, gullible, credulous

Examples

Не будь тако́й дове́рчивой!

nye but' ta-kóî da-vyér-chee-vaî

Do not be so trusting!
Они́ сли́шком наи́вны и дове́рчивы.

a-née sléesh-kam na-éev-ny ee da-vyér-chee-vy

They are too naive and trusting.

крючо́к [kryu-chyók] Noun, masculine

hook; crochet

Examples

Она́ бы́стро осво́ила те́хнику вяза́ния крючко́м.

sociable, communicable

Dima was a cheerful and sociable child.

to wish, to desire

I wish you all the best!
Он дости́г всего́, чего́ жела́л.

on das-téek fsee-vó, chee-vó zhee-lál

проти́вный [pra-téev-nyî] Adjective

repugnant, disgusting, offensive, nasty

Examples

В ко́мнате запа́хло чем-то проти́вным.

Some disgusting smell appeared in the room.
Како́й проти́вный челове́к, как его́ земля́ но́сит!
