жа́лость [zhá-last'] Noun, feminine

pity, compassion

Жа́лость к себе́ не развива́ет нас, а де́лает слабе́е.

Self-pity does not develop us; it makes us weaker.

случа́йный [slu-cháî-nyî] Adjective

occasional, random, incidental

Examples

Бы́ло да́нное обстоя́тельство случа́йным совпаде́нием и́ли нет – говори́ть пока́ ра́но.

bý-la dán-na-ya aps-ta-yá-teel'-stva slu-cháî-nym saf-pa-dyé-nee-yem ée-lee nyet - ga-va-réet' pa-ká rá-na
